In the fast-paced logistics hub of Murarrie, building presentation isn't just about aesthetics - it’s about asset preservation. ATD recently completed a comprehensive external repaint of a large-scale warehouse facility on Queensport Road, ensuring this prime piece of TradeCoast real estate remains protected against the harsh Queensland climate.
The Challenge: Operational Continuity & Substrate Variety
The Queensport site is an active industrial environment. The primary challenge was executing a top-to-bottom refurbishment without disrupting the daily flow of logistics and office operations. Furthermore, the project involved a wide range of substrates—from weathered precast concrete and industrial steel pipes to high-traffic internal office walls—each requiring a specific coating system to ensure longevity.
The Solution: The Detailed Standard in Action
We implemented a phased program to ensure every surface was prepared and coated to the highest professional standard.
Site-Wide Preparation: We began with a complete high-pressure wash across the entire site. This critical first step removed years of industrial buildup, ensuring maximum adhesion for the new coating systems.
Office & Facade Refinement: The two-story office received a full internal and external repaint. We used premium commercial-grade finishes to provide a modern, professional look that stands up to high-traffic corporate use.
Industrial Asset Protection: The large-scale precast walls were treated with high-performance external coatings designed to resist UV degradation and moisture ingress.
Safety Infrastructure: Precision is key for site safety. We repainted the external sprinkler pipes and bollards in high-visibility safety colors, ensuring the facility remains compliant and its safety assets are protected from corrosion.
